Water-rich microemulsions with surface-active solvents
Surface-active
solvents (“solvo-surfactants”) are widely used in consumer products.
Since these amphiphilic solvents can be applied to prepare aqueous
microemulsions, it can be interesting for agrochemical formulators to
get acquainted with bio-based representants of these compounds.
Adjuvants & Formulations highlights some aspects of those compounds that have both solvent and surfactant properties.

Natural nanocarrier system for glyphosate
Brazilian
researchers prepared experimental glyphosate formulations using natural
polymers such as chitosan, zein and lignin as nanocarriers. Combining
zein with the cross-linker ‘poloxamer’ resulted in the most stable
formulation.
