Soil applications of surfactants and polymers

Surfactants and polymers are administered to the soil for different purposes. Adjuvants & Formulations pays attention to the very diverse soil applications of these products. In this issue a general brief update as a stimulus to go further on the discussed items.

15 years Adjuvants & Formulations

In May 2004 we published the first issue of the digital magazine Adjuvants & Formulations, then named Adjuvant Newsletter. The idea was and is to update agchem professionals on new developments in the fields of adjuvants and to some extent in the field of formulations. The magazine is independent, which gives us the freedom to select items whereby we estimate that they are, of will become relevant, or at least nice to know. We apply the generally accepted journalistic principles, such as separation of facts and opinions and the journalistic method of sorting and interpreting the news that we come across. We also state what has been published, but if necessary also what is not being reported. And that is sometimes just as interesting... This investigative journalistic approach helps, for example, readers of the patent section to better interpret recent published findings and to estimate them as well as possible.

Patents in brief

Several companies are seeking patent protection for dicamba formulations with reduced spray drift (and volatility) potential. Adjuvants & Formulations also reports about new solvents and dispersants. In this issue also news about a liposomal formulation of bacterial auxin, a seed treatment composition formulated as micro-emulsion, low-volatile bixlozone-based suspension concentrates and a granular tebuthiuron formulation for aerial application.

Apps: Savvy Farmer series of apps

App stores have dozens of useful and interesting applications for mobile devices. In this issue of Adjuvants & Formulations five apps from Savvy Farmer.
