The potential of biosurfactants
The
academia and a few companies pay attention to so-called biosurfactants.
In spite of that, the number of commercialized products in agriculture
is quite limited. To have an idea about the potential of biosurfactants
we scanned the literature. We share the findings in a feature published
in the May/June 2017 issue of Adjuvants & Formulations.

Patents in brief
French
inventors have developed a microcapsule formulation for the sex
pheromones of processionary caterpillars that can be applied like
paintball projectiles. Adjuvants & Formulations also reports about recently presented crystal polymorphs of eight different herbicidal active ingredients and one insecticide, high-load granular formulations for liquid active ingredients, the combination of abamectin and bifenthrin in one microcapsule, about gum blends as adjuvants and oil-based suspension concentrates that combine low gravitational separation with low viscosity.
