Formulating fertilisers for effective foliar absorption
Foliar
fertilisers have to enter the leaf, but should also be trans-located in
a plant. Formulators have to cope with both requirements, but they
cannot rely on many science-based rules. The formulation of foliar
fertilisers therefore is still a matter of trial and error, despite the
large amount of research on foliar application of nutrients. Adjuvants & Formulations summarizes and comments on recent trends and findings.

To add a surfactant, or not to ad?
Adjuvants
can improve the performance of foliar fertilisers. The potential of
surfactants, humectants and other additives, however, is largely
underused. This is due to the lack of sound information on the behavior
