Micelles can reduce herbicide leaching
Herbicide-micelle
formulations reduce herbicide leaching more than current slow-release
formulations. Two researchers conclude this from experiments with
metolachlor and sulfentrazone solubilized in ODTMA micelles. Adjuvant
Newsletter presents details about this pioneering research. Picture by

Patents in brief
Washing with fresh water is enough to clean out a spray tank after application of the patent pending sulfonylurea formulation developed by Chinese inventors.
Other patent applications in this issue of the Adjuvant Newsletter cover new binders for seed treatment formulations, an attractant for both the male oriental fruit fly and the male melon fly and low volatility aqueous herbicidal concentrate compositions comprising a glyphosate salt and a dicamba salt.
